DETOURS & CLOSURES
To ensure the safety of all guests, spectators, and athletes, some hiking trails and routes in the Aletsch Arena will be diverted or temporarily closed during the race times. On our SwissTopo overview map, you’ll find all affected stages and times, as well as detailed information about detours and race schedules further down.
The Mountain Bike World Championships with the Enduro & E-Enduro races will take place in the Aletsch Arena and Bellwald on the following dates:

Stage Riederalp – The Flow Must Go On

This stage runs from Blausee via Greicheralp to the Mittele stables. During race times, please use the detour via Gopplerlickaweg through Scheeboduegg and Salzgäb back to Riederalp.

BETTMERALP & BETTMERHORN
E-Bike Stage Bettmerhorn – Glacier Express Ride
The E-Bike stage runs from Hohbalm to the mountain restaurant. Detours are signposted around the race course.

Stage Bettmerhorn – Glaciara Trail
This stage runs from Bettmerhorn via Hohbalm to Biel. Detours to Bettmerhorn or towards Märjela are possible via “Uf de Setzu.”

Stage Schönboden (Bättmerhitta) – Blue Berry Trail
This stage crosses the Herrenweg at Bättmerhitta. Marshals will regulate passage here. If no athletes are passing, the trail will be open for hikers. Short waiting times may occur as athletes start at 30-second intervals.

FIESCHERALP
Stage Talegga – Alpine Rodeo
During the race times, you may occasionally encounter a rider on the road towards Märjela. However, no racing will take place on this section – it’s only a transfer.

E-Bike Stage Fiesch – 99 Rocks
This stage starts in the center of Fiesch at the Biel Bridge and leads over the path “Ob dem Biel.” Detour via Obermatta Road.
